You know you want to purchase a BMW, but afraid of the price-tag a new one can produce. Research Used BMW’s and enjoy the luxury of owning one, at half the price. Once you have decided which model is right for you, make sure to follow a few tips to buying a used car, so you can get the best BMW for your money.
The first thing you want to do is compare prices of Used BMW models. Understanding which price range your in can stop you from buying a lemon. If you find the car you want for well under the medium price for that used car, you might want to be careful and check for something being wrong. Pull a report on the car and check for accidents, and ask the owner or dealership about if its had its monthly and yearly maintenance.
If you find one with a reasonable price range that has been taken care of, the next step is to inspect it. Don’t be afraid to walk around the car, check for dents and scratches in the body. If you find a few small ones, don’t worry those can be handled at a body shop, Next, open the trunk and check for the tool box. Used BMW models come with a remoulded tool box that fits into the trunk. Next, sit inside and take a look at the wear and tear of the interior and carpet. If all looks good, its time to move on
Try turning it on and listen to the sound it makes. If you hear any clicking, tapping or loud whistling sounds, you might want to consider having it looked at before purchasing it. If all sounds good, turn the radio on and have a listen to make sure your speakers are working. Then, turn the air and heater on to make sure both work with out noise or smell. If everything works when turned on, ask to go on a test drive so you can feel how it handles when driving. Once you have decided its perfect for you, don’t forget to haggle on the price!
Once you have decided on a price and brought it home, its time to call your insurance dealer and make sure tags are up to date. If you get all that out of the way, go for long relaxing drive, you have earned the right to enjoy your new Used BMW, and there is no harm in showing it off to all the neighbours as well.
