Some families crave a hefty car to journey their children in and use for the summer holidays, the car is the one thing that holds the family together, the glue that makes them stick; this being the practical side of the family, although it can be nice to own a car simply as a cave to get away from the big family get-togethers. This craving however isn’t so much a crave as it is to crave a huge pot of Ben and Jerry’s ice-cream in the rare heat that the British summer allows, but a craving family need. Families need a large car, with ample boot space to throw all the school bags, the buckets and spades and the heaving suitcases in. The car needs to fit in more than two people and not be so fancy that the children can’t wipe muck and crumbs on the seats. This is a car that families will often dread because even though they will buy it as close to being new as possible, which means that they will buy it when it is clean, they have the staggering nightmare of it being wrecked the very next day, which often is a reality.
For this purpose that families look for, a used Aston Martin wouldn’t hit the button straight away and sure enough wouldn’t catch their attention at all. However, the one clever thing about being in a big family is that there is always a possible chance of having two cars in the drive. One car for all of the taxi runs that can afford to be beaten and battered a little and another car that could stretch the budget as a one off lavish treat that will only be used for lavish occasions, such as taking the family to the weddings or being used only by the parents for a sly weekender away from the children. Despite having the opportunity to splash out a bit on a great second car for the drive way, there isn’t always the opportunity to splash out as much as people would have to on an Aston Martin which is why the used market is the place to scout.
A used Aston Martin will accommodate for the price issue as much as it can, but taking into consideration that this supercar will still have to stretch the budget a lot even if it is second hand due to its status in the automotive industry and all around, as everyone knows of its reputable glamour. This shouldn’t put families off though because it is possible to find a used Aston Martin to people’s taste that won’t cost their son’s piano lessons or their daughter’s brownie events. It is the attitude that matters often; if people automatically assume they won’t find a cheaper used Aston Martin, they may not, because to find one, it can take blood, sweat and tears. But, when they find that car that will perfectly fit into their lives, they will be glad of the effort they made.
