Triumph Bonneville MotorbikesJuly 17
For the ardent motorbike lover, the new Triumph Bonneville 790 debuted in 2001 by its owner, Bloor’s Triumph Motorcycles, Its. This is more than a simple fun fact. Knowing the history of a motorbike adds to the pride that one feels when riding down the road. There are many reasons that a person might become a motorcycle fan. One thing is for sure, once you fall in love, there is little chance that anything can change your mind about the design and thrill of riding one of these motorbikes. So, understanding just how much technology and care has gone into improving your ride gives you an even greater appreciation.
With that being said, this Triumph Bonneville which was built exclusively in Hinckley, England has bonafide roots, even though some models are now produced in Thailand. The new Bonnie, as it is often referred to affectionately, resembles many of the earlier models in both style and basic configuration. However, the engineering is completely modern. The debut of the first new version came with a 790 cc parallel twin engine. After 2007, all Bonnevilles received the 865 cc motor. If that wasn’t enough, all of the newer models also had carburettors, and electronic fuel injection was introduced in British models in 2008, following with the U.S. models in 2009. This was necessary in order to comply with the new stringent emissions requirements. However, none of this interfered with the performance of these motorbikes. It still retains the original vintage style of years gone by.
All of the motorcycles in the current Triumph Bonneville line are called Modern Classics. These include the SE, T100, Thruxton, Scrambler, America and the Speedmaster. To round out the style and performance, the Sixty-8 line of accessories were introduced in 2006 with products to suit anyone’s taste. You can get many modern styled items to go with your bike. The list is long: seats, seat covers, cam covers, sprocket covers, petrol tank covers, tank badges, panniers, and many more. You can shop for these accessories online, or go into your favorite store. As a Bonneville owner, you can customize your bike for a much less cost than you would with traditional customization.
