Driving lessons and getting a driver’s licenseJuly 5
To many who want to learn driving, they always think it is that easy. They only come to realize the difficulty of the task when the lessons start. Driving could be one of the first if not the first multi-tasking. In driving manual transmission, it requires the use of both hands and feet, the sense of sight, hearing and smell, and, a lot of quick decision making. If you learn to drive on manual transmission it is easier to learn next with automatic transmission. The reverse is true when learning first with automatic transmission. It would be wise to learn on both types of transmission as it could be indicated on your skill and ability to drive both on the license. Booking driving test for both kinds vehicle transmission is a good thing to do.
Almost everybody knows that there are left-hand and right-hand drive vehicles. This depends on what country you are in. There are more countries that have left-hand drive traffic. People who travel to different countries frequently and drive in there could have an international driver’s license. For that, they should be proficient in driving vehicles whether they are left or right-hand drive. Driving orientation and reaction to traffic is difficult when one shifts from left to right-hand driving frequently. Anyway, this should not really be a concern to many left-hand side drivers. The United Kingdom has the right-hand side driving orientation. So in case you intend to drive in that country, you should either have an international driver’s license or a british driving licence. If you are a foreigner in that country used to left-hand driving, chances are higher to commit a traffic violation while driving. It is in these instances where a police officer would check for a driver’s license. Tough luck - should you not have any of the licenses that would authorize you to drive in that country.
