While one can rightfully describe the Aston Martin as an exclusive marquee, those who own the vehicles are served by an equally impressive network of dealers distributed around the world. While one would expect there to be many European Aston Martin Dealers, the presence of dealers in countries from New Zealand to South Africa comes as more of a surprise. The large number of dealerships is especially impressive as the over-all volume of Aston Martin models is limited.

According to industry data, Aston Martin Dealers sold a record 5,800 vehicles a few years ago, but have not matched that number in the past couple of years. With the imminent introduction of the Cygnet luxury mini-car, the manufacturer no doubt hopes to top that record in the very near future and continue selling larger numbers of vehicles in coming years. However, sales volume and the number of authorized dealers are only part of the picture.

Perhaps more important to the future of luxury auto manufacturers is the ability of the dealer network to provide service that clients feel equals the quality and reputation of the marque. Clients purchasing vehicles with prices nearing $300,000 require special handling when it comes to after-purchase service requirements for their automobiles. While owners may not have to deal with the myriad gadgets of the famous James Bond model, the sophisticated nature of the modern Aston Martin vehicles requires dealers to provide quality service by truly dedicated service professionals.

While all automobile makers expect dealers marketing their vehicles to deliver exemplary service through all phases of ownership, it is reasonable to expect that Aston Martin Dealers are expected to provide service that goes well beyond what one would expect of, say, most of the American automobile corporations. Consider the type of individual that would have the capacity and desire to obtain an Aston Martin DBS. Individuals seeking that form of transportation are not normally expecting to utilize the vehicle for daily commuting. Rather, one could reasonable assume that the driver would be seeking a unique driving experience that most vehicles can not deliver. Aston Martin and its network of dealers must be there to meet those expectations.
