License plates were generally mundane and simple just displaying the vehicle number in my region. However recently, there has been a splurge in creativity and spunk in people. They have caught on a fad to get the most eye-catching and funny license plates to grab attention and they are succeeding! These people are clever, smart and know very well how to hog limelight and turn heads…. Honestly, it’s a real delight to watch such plates around because they break the monotony during boring traffic jams or a lonely evening stroll by putting a smile on our faces. License plates depicting catchy phrases have almost become a norm these days. Phrases like “Before it’s too late” (B4ITS2L8), “Live and be great” ( LIVNBGR8) had appeared in my neighborhood pretty early in the beginning. These days, self-glorifying words are being incorporated in funny license plates. My neighbor’s son got a plate that said “1LUVMEE” for “I Love Me” !! for his brand new Audi. Even bikers are not lagging behind. I saw a really cool plate saying “MEGOD666” on a bike recently- was that kid saying he was God or Satan? Flattering ones are really good provided you have a neighborhood full of gorgeous damsels. Who knows it may help to break the ice? “CYAB4UL” for “see ya beautiful” is funny and impressive at the same time. I have a feeling that this year there are going to be a lot of people looking to get out of debt. Not that people haven’t set this as a goal or resolution before, but I think that more people are going to figure it out and have the discipline to do it this year.
The good news is that will low interest rates now is a great time to refinance different loans you have as a way to save some extra money and have more cash available to work into your debt snowball.
A lot of people have considered doing this with their home loans, but I think that fewer people have considered refinancing an auto loan.
One reason for this may be that with a home loan refinance you can potentially save several hundred dollars a month. However with a car refinance, you’re looking to save possibly several hundred dollars over the year. But either way, these are additional savings that you can then work into your debt snowball or other expenses.
How you use the money is up to you. I know some people that have refinanced their cars to a low interest rate as a way to free up some cash to pay off high interest credit cards. In fact, you can often take out a refinance on a car that you’ve already paid off if it is in good enough condition.
